David, 11/20/2009 The invitation to the adoption of the Honorary Consul in David on 20.11.2009 we received from the German Embassy in Panama city. Six German from Las Lajas, representatives from Paradise Inn and Finca Buena Vista , as I took the invitation. We drove 70km from Las Lajas for David to say goodbye to the Consul . we previously had, however, clarify wie denn der Dresscode zu interpretieren war. Für uns Lasjas Deutsche war dies die erste offizielle Einladung der Botschaft. Da wir nur eine Spanische Einladung per Email erhielten, war zunächst unklar wie man sich in Panama zu so einem Anlass in den Tropen kleidet. Wir entschieden uns für die Buntfaltenhose und einem förmlichen Hemd ohne Krawatte. Wie sich herausstellte wäre auch ein Anzug mit Krawatte angebracht gewesen, aber auch die lockere Variante war nicht unpassend. Pünktliche wie auf der Einladung , um 7.30 erschienen wir im Club David. Nach dem wir an einem Runden dekoriertem Tisch platz nahmen , wurden wir auch schon by the wives of Lord Grey (For 3 months, the new German Ambassador to Panama) welcomed. Wir bedanken uns bei Herrn Grau und seiner Ehefrau für diesen aufschlussreichen und wirklich netten Abend.
